Shoot Review: Lash Boutique

So recently I saw a tweet by a brand I follow on twitter called Lash Boutique. They were asking for people to review their lashes and I jumped at the chance. There are a million brands out there so I like to be reminded and encouraged to use things, I'm not easily lead, just forgetful. But I am very happy I was reminded.

I was sent a 'Hannah' lash, a full false lash with a graduated shape that tapers at the inner eye with a slight but not over-accentuated crimping down the length. I was a little apprehensive to use these lashes as they had a full spine to the lashes, this can sometimes make the lashes firm and difficult to apply. This really was not the case at all with Lash Boutique. Advertised as 100% human hair (sterilised), I was pleasantly surprised and impressed how soft and flexible this made their lashes!

I used the false lashes on the above shoot with the lovely Saskia Lawson. The beautiful Daisy was our model and the makeup and hair was by myself using MAC Cosmetics and Rouge Pony hair crowns.

Introducing, the 'Hannah'...

I usually use a glue I hold in my kit (which will stay undisclosed in this post!), however these came with a black latex-based glue, which gave a nice eye-liner effect to the makeup look and adhered very well. These lashes have a natural look to them created by the tapering and crimping, which I always look for in a lash. I think they worked very well with the look above and I'm sure will do with many others! What do you think?

The lashes retail at £6.99 but there is currently a very good offer where you can pick two sets for £10. This is a great chance to try the Lash Boutique suggestion of doubling up lashes for as they say, 'a bit of extra glamour'. When I get some more I will have to try this, I am very intrigued to see the outcome!

So, let me know how you get on with your Lash Boutique lashes, which ones will you buy? I'm going to be trying the 'Lainey' and the 'Lorna' I think!
